This audio drama perfectly captures a world that is difficult to convey through visuals. It draws you in and can be enjoyed like a movie. Chasuke, a veteran and popular voice actor known for his roles as mature men, superbly portrays both the “passionate king” and the “gentle yet cunning man.”
The story allows you to experience the tale of a heroine who falls in love at first sight with the “king” depicted in a painting based on the Grimm fairy tale “Thousand Skins.” The heroine, in turn, is loved at first sight by the “king” and becomes lost in a “lucid dream of a fairy tale,” all while being watched over by another man.
Both characters’ final declarations are truly “sly.”
Chasuke’s portrayal of mature, relaxed sensuality is remarkable. The melting kiss sounds have likely left many women weak in the knees (?!).
Finishing this drama feels like stepping out of a classic cinema, evoking that indescribable sensation. It is a gem that alternates between a classic fairy tale and a contemporary love story.
The king is just too cool. His voice is perfect. It’s the best.

You have been intrigued by a newly opened establishment on a backstreet. After passing by several times, you decide to step inside tonight. The place is a gallery-café named “MUSEE SENSIEL (Sensual Art Museum).” You are captivated by a painting titled “The King and the Princess of the Thousand-Furred Coat.” According to the owner, the source of the painting is a Grimm fairy tale. He explains, “These two are father and daughter. The princess is proposed to by her father, the king, for an incestuous marriage.” At that moment, you hear “someone’s voice” in your ear.

Sakae Hiuma
Owner of the café “MUSEE SENSIEL.” He displays art pieces left by his great-grandfather in the shop to entertain visitors. He listens to your dreams and stories.
The King of the Thousand-Furred Coat
A character from the painting who appears in your dreams. He makes you his “princess daughter” and seeks you out with intense passion.

An after-story set sometime after the main plot. Although your relationship with Sakae is going well, you feel lonely not dreaming of the king anymore. Sakae, sensing your feelings, puts you under a suggestion to dream of him. That night, in your dream, both the king and Sakae appear, and they decide to settle the matter with a game of chess. The game ends in a draw, and you end up being loved by both of them simultaneously.
